7 Google Chrome Extensions and Applications You Should Use

applicationsIf you use Google Chrome as your primary web browser, you might be familiar with extensions from the Chrome Store. Extensions are small programs that you can install within Chrome to give you some added features and tools which add another layer of functionality to your experience.

There are several categories to choose from within the Chrome Store. If you are looking to add news directly to your homepage…there’s an extension for that. Maybe you want the weather? There’s an extension for that too. A great category to browse is Productivity. Here you will find to-do lists, calendar extensions and more. All of which will make your life online a little bit easier. We have compiled a short list of extensions for you to try. Check them out.

    1. Cortex
Cortex is an excellent extension if you share a lot of content via your social networks. Use just one extension to share video, photo, articles, and links. You can use Cortex to share to Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, Tumblr and more.
    2. Adblock for Youtube
There is nothing more annoying than Youtube advertisements. Sure, the quick 30 second videos aren’t too bad, but often, lengthier ads are shown with no option to skip over. Downloading Adblock for Youtube frees you from suffering through that 1:30 ad for Oil of Olay that you have no interest in watching.
    3. Honey
Honey is great for those of us who frequently shop online. This extension searches the web for any applicable coupon codes for you. When you get to check out, simply click the honey icon within Chrome and voila! A coupon code is automatically applied. Save time and money with Honey!
    4. Instapaper
Much like Microsoft’s Edge reading view, Instapaper lets you save and view articles from around the internet without the sidebars, intrusive ads and junk links that often are displayed at the bottom of articles. Don’t bog up your bookmarks with articles. Save to Instapaper.
    5. Grammarly
Grammarly is the perfect extension for those who have trouble with grammar or who strive to have perfect grammar. This over the top spelling and grammar checker works within Chrome to make sure you don’t make any mistakes while online. Works with all websites, checking and correcting what you type into Facebook, forums, forms and more. They also offer a pro version which checks for advanced mistakes, gives word suggestions and more. The pro version is an excellent tool if you write often online.
    6. Office Editing for Docs, Sheets, and Slides
This extension lets you edit Microsoft Office documents – Word documents, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint slides – within Google Docs. This is great if you don’t want to shell out the cash to purchase an office subscription but still need to access Office docs. Once you download the extension, any document that you open in Gmail, Google Drive or drag into Chrome will open in Google Docs and be ready to view and edit. You have the ability to save in it’s current Office format or convert to a Google Doc, Sheet or Slide.
BONUS!

Auto Forward
While all of these extensions are useful, one of the most useful applications you can buy for a cell phone. The Auto Forward App is a cell phone spy program that allows you to monitor everything someone does on their cell phone. Look at all text messages, call logs, emails, social media, and more!
